If you are not familiar with what pay per audio hour means, please take a moment to read through this next section. At many jobs you are paid per hour worked. As an example, if you are paid $10.00 per hour worked, you can rest assured that you are getting $10 regardless of the work accomplished or how long it takes you to get it done. When you are paid per audio hour, you are paid $10 per hour of recording regardless of how little or much time it takes you. If it takes you one hour to complete the hour recording you get $10 but if it takes longer you still get $10.00. The industry standard for completing work is 1:4 meaning that one hour of recording takes 4 hours to complete. There are, of course, times that it may take you more or less time to get the work done depending on your speed and the quality of the recording.
At the rate of $10.00 per audio hour, if it takes you 4 hours to complete the recording you would end up making $2.50 per actual hour worked.
Rate Per Audio Hour divided by Time to Complete = Your Pay Per Hour
